Christians claim that they are saved by grace, but they are sinning like others. Are they saved? Is Grace a promise that they will not be punished for their sins so that they may enjoy sins without fear?
The vast majority of Christians think that sin is part of life and they will go to heaven by the grace of God. Preachers help Christians to continue in their belief. The Bible does not give a simple yes and no answer on this issue. But it has solid and good answers if we study the Bible with good conscience. However, it gives room for those who want to twist the scriptures to give their own answers. Preachers take advantage of this and preach many false doctrines to please people. So, their congregation and followers are all satisfied. But the truth of the Bible is seldom preached.
The Bible says that salvation is an escape from committing sin. But, God removes only the addiction of committing sin. Then it is up to us to sin or not. So, salvation is a work of God and us. To help us, God gives his word, power, presence, etc that is called grace, that has the power to destroy sin. Then, it is up to us not to sin again. If we do not sin again, we is saved. At this point God forgives our past sins and gives eternal life, which is a privilege to live in heaven. So, we escaped his punishment in hell and in the lake of fire, which we supposed to get. So, now we are saved from hell. This is the true salvation.
But, preachers preach as if grace is a special favor that God gives to Christians so that they may enjoy their sins like everybody else, but not be punished. For this, what all they have to do is to believe in Jesus Christ. In another words, if they confess that they are of Christ they are saved and will escape hell. Almost all churches believe this as true. But according to the Bible, this belief is false and fake.
Most preachers preach what people desire to hear, rather than teaching what the Bible says. They use just a few verses from the Bible to make people think that the teaching are from the Bible. But actually they teach other ideas and doctrines. The word of God warns about these teachers. "1 Tim 1:6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; 7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. 2 Pet 3:16 --- which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction."
They usually preach salvation from these verses, Eph 2:5,8,9 & Titus 3:5. Their teaching is as follows. "Eph 2:5 --- by grace ye are saved; 8 --by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast." Almost all Christians believe that Jesus Christ saves them, not according to what they do, because salvation is not by works. Since they believe that Jesus Christ gives grace and faith as gifts and he saves them, they are considered believers and so they are saved and so they will go to heaven. "Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us." Again, preachers conveniently selected this segment of the verse and preach that we are saved not by our righteousness, but since God is merciful to us. But it is the twist of the verse. But, this message satisfies people. Most people are aware that they are not good and they are not up to the par in godly matters. They admit that God is good and merciful. If God is willing to favor them, who will reject it. So, Christians are happy campers and getting along with the preachers very well. So, preachers made it a good profession rather than to be servants of God. "2 Peter 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not." Even though these preachers will be damned in eternity, they do live well on earth.
Let us look at the scriptures again. "Eph 2:5 by grace ye are saved; 8 --by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast." Here we see grace, faith, and gift, but not works play their part in us getting saved. So, let us see one by one, what are they and how do they help us to get saved.
The First is: "Eph 2:5 by grace ye are saved;". It is grace that we are saved by. False grace is defined as unmerited favor. But true grace is merited favor. How to merit for grace? "1 Pet 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble." Here, we see two things to merit grace. 1, Stop being a proud person. 2, Become a humble person. Then only we will get grace. "James 6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." Here, we see that if we stay humble, God will give more grace. "Rom 1:5 By whom we have received grace ..., for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:" Here we see that grace is given for obedience, that is, God knows that we will be obedient to him and so he gives us grace. "1 Pet 1:2 unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied." Again we see that God will multiply grace unto obedience, that is, we will obey God if we have grace. So, we have showed our merit before God that we are not proud, we are humble, obedient and we will stay that way even in the future. So, God has given us grace. It is a merited favor.
Let us see, what will grace do to a person. Primarily, sin is to disobey God. "Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" It says, "shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?" The obvious answer to this question is, NO. Then, there is a proof why the answer is NO. Verse 2 says, "How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" That is, if God gives grace to a person, he will be dead to sin; meaning that he will not live to sin again. So, a person will either have grace or he is sinning, not both. But preachers preach that grace will cover us while we commit sin and it guarantees us heaven. It is a blatant lie and tragically it deceives most Christians and takes them to burning hell.
The next is: "Eph 2:8 --by grace are ye saved through faith;" This gives a condition that a person must have faith in order to be saved. "James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." Here we see that works are the life of faith. If we do not have works then our faith is dead. So, we may say that faith is works. But, Eph 2:9 says, that salvation is not of works. The Bible is the word of God and it does not contradict. We will study what works are below as we study verse 9. Then it will be clear. "Heb 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac:" Here we see that the faith of Abraham is perfect obedience to God when God told Abraham to sacrifice his son. So, faith is the work that we do in obeying God. In short faith is works.
I have an article on Faith. If you like to read that article: Click on this. Thanks.
The next is: "Eph 2:8 that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Most preachers say that since it is a gift from God, we do not have to do anything. Let us see it. "Matt 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" Here, we see two conditions to receive a gift from God. 1, We have to be his children. (Sinning is rebellion against God and those who are in sin are not children of God. Those who twist the word of God are children of the devil. Acts 13:10 ... thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? The word of God spelled out how to differentiate the children of God and the children of the devil. 1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God... If we do not live righteously, then we are children of the devil.) 2, We must keep asking for the gift until we receive it. So, we must live righteously and ask God to receive his gift.
"Acts 8:20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money." Christians think that God gives them gifts because they give money to the church or to their famous evangelists. But, it will bring curse than gifts. "Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. 45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost." Most preachers personalize your intimacy with God and say that you are special. But, God repeatedly says that he is not a respecter of persons and he will accept anybody, who works righteousness. So, in this case we must live righteously in order to receive any gift from God. "Rom 5:17 ... much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ." Most famous prominent preachers confess that they sin like all others and proclaim that nobody can live without sin. But, grace and the gift will not be mailed to you as a ticket to heaven. But, Jesus Christ shall reign in our life, as we receive grace and the gift of righteousness, so that we will not sin. If we are still committing sin, it is proof that we do not have grace or gift of faith or righteousness, or any other salvation gift from God.
The next is: "Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast." As we see in verse 8, we found that faith without works is dead and we must do work of obedience to be saved. Verse 9 says that salvation is not of works that men may boast. In the context of verse 9, the works refers to circumcision and the ceremonies & laws of Judaism, because it was the work which was being boasted by Israelis (Jews) in the Bible. "Matt 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.... 5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments," Jesus Christ says to obey the teaching of the scriptures, which is good works. In verse 5, he gives a few works that are boasted by men and those works will not be considered for salvation. But, most preachers exploit this verse and preach openly not to obey God, saying it is works and it will not be counted for salvation.
"Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:" Here, Jesus Christ explains both kind works. Call Jesus Christ Lord, Lord, which is flattering him, which is typical of present day praise worship, is not counted for salvation. But, it is required to do the works that is the will of God the Father. "1 Thes 4:3 this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: 4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; 5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: 6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. 7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness." So, the holy living is required and accepted as good works. But, the works of prophesies, casting out devils and miracles will not be considered for salvation of the person. But rather, the obedience to the preachings of Jesus Christ will be considered as good works that is built on the rock, and it is considered for salvation.
"Rom 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: 8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God." Verses 6 & 11 say that God will not do any personal favor and his judgment will be strictly according to what we do. So, our works are vital for our salvation. Verses 7 &10 say that if we continue in well doing and good works of righteousness, we will have eternal life. Verses 8 &9 say that if we are contentious, evil, unrighteous, or do not obey God, we will be in hell. So, our good works of righteousness and obedience to God are mandatory to be saved.
1 Tim 5:24 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after. 25 Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid. Verse 24 says that both open sins and secret sins will be judged. Verse 25 says that every good works will be seen. But we say, 'only God knows.' Verse 25 says, good works will be noticed and there are no secret good works. So, if others have not seen it, we do not have it.
Jesus Christ says in Matt 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Jesus Christ says to show your good works to men, so that they may see and glorify God the Father. But the devil says not to do good works and says that we are not saved by it. But, Jesus Christ says in Matt 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Again, preachers say that rewards does not mean heaven, but if you need heaven, you should not do works and if you need rewards in heaven it is according to works. They say many foolish things, but foolish people listen to them and we cannot stop them. You can escape these silly traps of the devil by the wisdom of God.
The next is: "Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, --." False preachers quote this verse and say that even if we do the works of righteousness, they will not save us, but it is just the mercy of God that saves us. By saying this, they tell believers not to obey God and to live holy by calling them works. Instead, they turn the believers to church worships, praise songs, which are rituals or ceremonies in the name of God and turn them to religious living which will benefit the churches and evangelists materially. But Jesus Christ has rebuked this practice and said that these things will not save us. Now, let us see the verse in its context. "Titus 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;" Verse 3 says that we were sinning. Verse 4 says that Jesus Christ came as a man because of his love. Verse 5 says that he came, not because we lived a righteous life, but we were living in sin. That is, If we were living righteously, he didn't have to come. He came and saved us, meaning made us righteous, (it is written to those who were saved, but not to them who live in sin.) It is "by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;" With the regeneration and renewal, they will perfectly obey God. "Deut 6:25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us." So, now they are perfectly righteous. Jesus Christ came when they were not righteous and converted them to be righteous. Of course God has love and mercy toward the whole world and that is why he came as a man. But only those who obey him will be made righteous. "Heb 5:9 being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;" False preachers take a portion of the verse and preach it to say that we do not have to obey God in order to be saved. It is a deliberate twist of the Bible. As an attorney twists the words of a witness by picking only portions of a statement and will not allow him/her to tell the complete story, false preachers take the portions of a verse from the word of God and twist it to hide the truth.
Almost all Christians say that they are saved. So they should go to heaven when they die. It is big relief to them from a scary unknown future. How are they saved? Preachers told them that if they believe on Jesus Christ, they are saved. Christians believe that Jesus Christ is God and he will take them to heaven when they die. So, according to the preachers, they believed on Jesus and they are saved. Is it salvation or deception? "Acts 16:30 Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 They said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." What to do to be saved? It is to believe? Believe what? It is the most important question between salvation and deception. Believe on the Lord! The Lord is our master, who bought us and owns us. If we believe that he is our master and we will do whatsoever he tells us to do. If we say that he is our master and we do not do what he tells us to do, then we are fake believers and liars. In the old times in eastern settings, the man is the head of the house. He will do what the master says, and the household will do what he says. So, if he believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, he and his household will do what the Lord tells them to do to be saved, and so they will be saved. But the deception comes from the preachings. They tell people to believe that Jesus Christ is God and he will take them to heaven, no matter what they do, instead of telling them to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. They believe preachers instead of accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and believing what Jesus Christ tells them to do. So, they are not saved, but they are deceived.
God gives his word, grace and power by Jesus Christ to his people. Jesus Christ will lead them through righteousness and takes them to eternal life. The devil preaches lies by his servants so that people may commit sin. Those who live in sin will find their way to eternal death. "Rom 5:21 as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
We think that people commit sin because of their lustful desires. As true as it is, the devil began sinning and he makes people to commit sin. The Lord Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the devil and free people. "1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." If we are still committing sin, we are of the devil. The people of God are those who are saved from sin.
"Matt 1:21 ... call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." Even though Jesus Christ died for the whole world, he will save only his people. Who are his people? "Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts." They will humble and God will give grace to them and will not live for the lust of the flesh (perversions and ungodly pleasures). "Rom 3:25 ... God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;" His grace stops the future sins of his people and his righteousness forgives their past sins by his blood. Now they are saved from sins.
"Rom 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you." They were servants of sin. God has given his doctrine so that they may obey God and do his righteousness. They obeyed the doctrine of Jesus Christ with all their heart. Their obedience to the doctrine delivered them from their sin. "Rom 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness." God made them free from sin. So, they became servants of righteousness. "Rom 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life." As they were serving God, they became holy and God gives them everlasting life.
"Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others." These believers had a sinful life and they shared their life with sinful friends in the past. Now they do not commit sin. "Eph 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved). 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." God quickened them, that is he gave them new life, by his mercy and love. By this work, God the Father has united them with Jesus Christ. This is salvation and the result is eternal life.
As God has unites them with Jesus Christ, he raises them (their spirits of man) to be seated with Jesus Christ in heaven. "Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:" They are in the world, but they are not of the world. They are heavenly minded people. As their life is hid with Christ in God, they will set their affections on heavenly things. "Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God." God requires us to examine ourselves so that we may not be deceived by false beliefs or vain imaginations. "2 Cor 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves." If we love the truth, we will examine ourselves. If our ambitions are still on earthly things, we are not seated with Christ. If we still commit sins, then we are not saved. If we examine ourselves, at least we are not deceived. And there will be room for repentance.
"Ezek 18:4 ... the soul that sinneth, it shall die. 20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him." God says that nobody will take the sin of someone else. However, Jesus Christ died for the whole world, not to take their punishment upon himself, but to become the author of salvation for the whole world. He saves only those who obey him. "Heb 5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him... 9 ... he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;" Satan, through his servant evangelists and pastors, preaches that we do not have to obey God in order to be saved from hell. God warns that those whoever do not obey God will be damned. In spite of the warnings of God, most Christians believe false gospel of Satan and disobey God in their life. But they praise God through their mouth thinking that heaven is guaranteed for them. "Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."
"Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." God said not eat of the tree of good and evil. If they eat from it they will die eternally on that day. But Satan preached saying that they will not die. "Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die" Adam and Eve ate the fruit believing the gospel of Satan and faced eternal death. Even now Satan deceives people. The message of Satan has not changed even today. His main strategy is to remove the fear of God from the people so that they could sin. He convinces people that God will not eternally punish them for their sins against God, since Jesus died on the cross. But, God will take vengeance on those who disobey him as he did it in the Garden of Eden. "2 Thes 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:"
Satan spreads his messages through false preachers. "2 Cor 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness;" Satan preaches cunning and deceiving messages to remove the fear of God, from the people of God. Satan convinces them that it is not possible to obey God. So he advises them to flatter God and to praise God instead of obeying God. The devil is doing it in a cunning and crafty way. "Matt 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." Since people want to believe, which is convenient for them rather than to believe the truth, even God will send them strong delusion so that they may believe a lie. " 2 Thes 2:10 ---; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie."
Most Christians believe that God loves them unconditionally and God will save them from hell no matter what they do. They believe that God forgives their past, present and future sins. They are in the deception of Satan. (1) Past Sins. God forgives only the past sins if the conditions are met. "Rom 3:25 --- to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, ---." (2) Present Sins. God forgives present sins means that God approves their disobedience, as if God endorse their sin. Is this not ridiculous? (3) Future Sins. This is to say that God forgave them even before they commit sin, which is to say that God gave them license to do sins. It is foolishness. God says that if we commit sin, then we are not saved, but sinners. "John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?" So, if we sin, we are sinners. Sinning is disobedience to God and the wrath of God is upon them. "Eph 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Col 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:" Sin brings death.
"2 Peter 2:13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; 14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: 15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;" Most pastors pick up a few verses and preach what they want to preach without its proper context. They blaspheme God and preach lies. They pretend to do the work of the Lord for their own worldly benefits. These benefits could be fame, prestige, pride, luxury, comfort, profession, or anything else other than eternal life. They should quit this work for their own eternal good.
Some of these workers could have come to the work of the Lord with good intentions. But as the days went by they could have seen the fame, prestige, etc., and they could have backslid. God will not tolerate them. "Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries." These verses are not referring to a new person trying to learn the things about salvation. This person already has the knowledge of the word and he is willfully sinning, perhaps willfully embracing a false doctrine in order to justify his own sin. "Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? If a person still lives in sin ignoring the warnings given him by the Spirit of grace, God charges him with the offense of trodden his son under foot, etc. God considers this matter very seriously.
False preachers say that we all will be sinning, but with no punishment because of grace. They call it as 'saved by grace.' It is deception. The Bible says that Jesus Christ will save his people from their sins. If they do not sin anymore by the grace of God, then God will forgive their past sins and then they are saved. Jesus Christ will not save them from the punishment for sins as they are committing sins. "Rom 5:21.. sin hath reigned unto death,. 6:16 whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness. 23 For the wages of sin is death;... Matt 1:21 call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." Examine yourself. If you do not commit sin, you are saved from sins.
If we love God with reverential fear, we will obey God - We will stop sinning.
