Answer
Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. Christians celebrates his birth day on December 25th and 24th as the eve of the birthday. But, there is no basis from the Bible that this day is the actual birthday of Jesus. However, since it is proper to honor Jesus by celebrating his day of birth, Christians celebrate an assumed birthday, on December 25th. That is okay.
Even though, the birthday of Jesus is not directly given in the Bible, it is possible to find his birthday from the Bible. The Bible says that John the Baptist was six month older to Jesus Christ. So, if we can find the birthday of John the Baptist we can also find the birth day of Jesus Christ. Now, let us see if we can find the birthday of John the Baptist.
Zacharias was the father and Elizabeth was the mother of John the Baptist. "Luke 1:5 ... in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth." When Herod was the king of Judaea, Zacharias was a priest in the temple and he was from the course of Abia (Abijah).
The priests are divided into 24 courses in which the course of Abijah comes as the eighth. "1 Chr 24:7 Now the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah, … 10 The seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah, … 18 The three and twentieth to Delaiah, the four and twentieth to Maaziah. They are repeated twice during the year." The 24 courses serve in the temple one week at a time. When they have completed, they start all over and serve another time and thus every course serve twice a year. At the feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, and Tabernacles, all the courses serve in the temple.
"Ex 12:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, 2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. … 6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. 7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it." So, the Passover is on the fourteenth of the first month of the year of the Jews. The first month is Abib. "Deut 16:1 Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD thy God: for in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night."
The first course Jehoiarib could have served at the temple in the first week starting from the first Sabbath in the month of Abib. The second week is the feast of Passover and the third week is the feast of the Unleavened Bread. So, all courses could have served in the temple on those two weeks. Then, the second course could have worked in the fourth week, and so on. The eighth week from the Passover, which is the ninth week from the first week of Abib, is the feast of Pentecost in which all courses will serve the temple. So, Abijah being the eighth, it would have served in the eleventh week. So, Zacharias served at the temple in this time and has seen the angel Gabriel. "Luke 1:8 And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course, 9 According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord. …11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. …13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John." After a week of service, Zacharias went home on the twelfth week, which is the end of the third month of the Jews. "Luke 1:23 And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house. 24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived..." Probably his wife Elizabeth conceived John the Baptist at the beginning of the fourth month of the Jews.
There is another possibility that angel Gabriel could have met Zacharias at the service of his second round. Twenty four weeks pass by the first round. All the four feasts, which are: the feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, and Tabernacles, would pass at the fifteenth of the seventh month, which is the feast of the Tabernacles. So, 24 + 4 + 8 = 36, at the thirty-sixth week from the first Sabbath of Abib, the course Abia would have served in the temple at the second time in the year. So, at this week angel Gabriel met Zacharias. At the 37th week, which is the end of the ninth month, he would have gone home after his temple service. In this case, Elizabeth has conceived at the beginning of the tenth month of the Jews.
Angel Gabriel came to Marry to announce that she is with Child on the sixth month when Elizabeth was conceived. "Luke 1:26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren." So, the conception of Mary with the child Jesus could have been either at the beginning of the tenth month or at the beginning of the fourth month of the Jews. Then the birth of the baby Jesus could have been either in the beginning of the seventh month or at the beginning of the first month of the Jews.
Let us look these two dates in the Old Testament to see if there is any information linked these dates with the birth of Jesus. The first one is the beginning of the seventh month. "Lev 23:34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD." Even though this festival is close enough to the date, it has no direct connection to the birth of Jesus. The next date is the beginning of the first month. "Ex 12:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, 2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. 3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house." The Passover Lamb is set aside on the tenth of the first month, which fits well with the beginning of the first month. Jesus was the Lamb of God, which was the Passover Lamb. It is possible that God has set God the Word aside as the Passover Lamb by the birth of Jesus Christ. So, the tenth day of the month of Abib could be the very fitting birth day of the Lord Jesus Christ as a man. In other words, the actual day of Christmas is the tenth day of the first month Abib, of the Jewish calendar, according to the word of God, the Bible.
I like to add a small note. Jesus, the Passover Lamb, was killed on the same Passover day at 3:00 pm at the evening, which is about the same time the Passover lambs are killed. Jesus Christ was raised from death just after three days and three nights as prophesied. The Holy Ghost was poured out upon the believers on the day Pentecost. So, it is proper to conclude that Jesus Christ, the Passover Lamb, was born on the tenth of Abib, which is the same day the Jews separate the Passover lamb, which is born to die for the world.
If we love God with reverential fear, we will obey God - We will stop sinning.
the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
